With the sheer number of Network Media Players on the market today, manufacturers are increasingly looking to find a clever angle to distinguish their products from the others. AAXA L1 Laser Data Projector Fits in Your Palm

If you travel a lot like me, you know that the lighter something is the better. I don’t even bother carrying a data projector for that very reason, but it is a pain wrangling with various conference room projectors and hunting for the remote, or the video cable again and again. Wouldn’t it [...]

Introducing Bizmore.com

Posted on February 18th, 2010 by admin in Recent Blog Entries, it support w1

Longtime readers of this blog have noticed that Michael Santo has been doing the heavy lifting largely alone for at least two years now. Yikes! My goal was not to disappear, but I thought it was high time I popped back on and let RTN readers know what I have been up to.

Long [...]

Sun CEO’s Epic Fail or Why Resigning via Twitter is really, really Foolish

Posted on February 18th, 2010 by admin in Recent Blog Entries, it support w1

BEGIN ALICE RANT: Call me old fashioned, but I like my CEOs to be a little on the casual side – to a point. Bill G in his cords, Steve Jobs in his classic black mock turtleneck. But I draw the line at the ponytail. The ponytail to me signals leadership trouble, and [...]

What software will I need?

Posted on December 22nd, 2009 by admin in Recent Blog Entries, it support w1
Hey, I finished my first rig a few hours ago, the one that you see in my sig. It says i7 920 @4ghz, but really that’s what it’s going to be at xP Also, my memory is underclocked from its stock 2000mhz setting right now. What is every single piece of software that I will need, and what will I need to tweak? Will I be able to achieve 2000mhz on the memory while my CPU is oc’d? Is it as simple as increasing CPU voltage and bclk until I reach desired clock? My temps are around 34C stable, with ambient temperature of what feels like between 75 and 80F.

Off-topic:1. There is one standoff that is not in right now, so my mobo is screwed in with 8 screws as opposed to the total of 9 that it should be. Will this have any effect at all?

2. I had to use force to push in the back panel while someone else screwed in the thumbscrews. What effect will this have?

Appraisals: Three monitors

Posted on December 22nd, 2009 by admin in Recent Blog Entries, it support w1
I have three LCD monitors, all different makes and models. I’m considering selling the three of them and getting one or two bigger monitors, but I want to know what I could get for these.

#1 - HP w1707 17″ 1440×900, DVI and VGA

#2 - Acer AL1916w 19″ 1440×900, VGA only

#3 - ProView PL926WBi 900W 19″ 1440×900, VGA only

All are LCD monitors in fairly good shape, no dead pixels, no scratches. The screens could maybe use a little cleaning, but that’s it.

How much are these worth?
