Posted on March 31st, 2010 by admin in it support w1
yeah so my friend’s laptop breaks and hes like “damn now i gotta get a new laptop” then i was like “laptops for gamign are retarded.” then hes like “FINE BUILD ME A DESKTOP” then i go “your money, ill build it”

pretty much thats how it happened. too bad my buddy that works art microcenter wasnt there cause it took them forever to find the parts on my list. a few of them couldn’t be found at all so we had to change a few parts.

all in all its a nice build, 1700 bucks on it total including a keyboard, headset, speakers, 23 inch monitor. the actual computer prolly cost like 1300 bucks maybe. its faster than mine lol.

cpu is core i7 930 with a V8 cooler

case is cm storm scout

mobo is x58 sli

PSU is a coolmax 1000 watt modular

ram is some corsair XMS 3 tripple channel memory

GPU is a gtx 275

hard drive is a WD caviar black 1tb

im tired but im pretty sure those are th eparts that matters.

Price difference between 2 Intel SSD’s

Posted on March 31st, 2010 by admin in it support w1
Hello,

I’m looking to buy an Intel SSD for my new rig, however I’m a bit confused at the price difference between the 2 products I’ve listed below, can somebody confirm why they are so different? They are both 80Gb.

Probably a crazy question…

Posted on March 31st, 2010 by admin in it support w1
This is probably a crazy question, but I recently saw a 2.5 inch SATA to 2x CF RAID adapter. Is there any chance that there is a similar device with an IDE interface, preferably in a 1.8 inch form factor, that supports JBOD?

What I want to do is modify my old 4th Generation iPod with two CF to SDHC adapters, and make one of them the main internal drive, with the second one as removable storage. I want to have at least 64GB of internal storage, and removable extra storage is perfect for me, since I like to load up tons of movies.

If I cannot make this work, I will just put a single CF to SDHC slot, and have several cards with the firmware on them, though I would prefer not to do it this way.

I am also in the research phase of modifying it to have a 2.5 inch LCD so I can watch movies on it. The iPod is running linux btw.

Wanted: Need cheap 1GB or 2GB DDR2 533, 667 or 800MHz RAM

Posted on March 31st, 2010 by admin in it support w1
Hello :p
As the title says, looking for as cheap as possible DDR2 RAM running at either 533, 667 or 800 MHz and in capacities of 1GB or 2GB.
Looking for cheapest possible, so the cheapest set I can find I’ll but :D.

(I’d prefer the RAM speed to be 667 or 800 if possible, if not and the cheapest I get offered is 533 it doesn’t matter.)
