NZXT has officially rolled out its Beta classic chassis, targeting value minded LAN-going gamers. The mid-tower steel case measures 200 x 430 x 501 mm and weighs around 7.28 kg. The result is a case big enough to fit four external 5.25-inch drives, 5x 3.5-inch hard drives, and large 10.5-inch performance graphics cards. Inside, the Beta case is all painted in black. For good air circulation, NZXT has prepared mouths for 4x 120 mm fans (1x front, 1x rear, and 2x side) and a meshed front panel that improves airflow. The front mounted 120 mm fan can be 38 mm thick, to maximise airflow even further.
“Given the current economic conditions, we wanted to offer gamers a sleek, sturdy case built for performance and maximum expandability without breaking the bank” said Johnny Hou, Chief Designer at NZXT. “Beta provides the perfect solution for a sub ,000 PC and will give gamers multiple options when configuring a rig with phenomenal value.”
The Beta will be available in May at an MSRP of .99 . For more information on the case click here.

My OEM copy of Windows is saying..

Posted on May 6th, 2009 by admin in Recent Blog Entries, it support w1
That I changed the hardware in my laptop, and that I need to enter a new cd key. I didn’t change anything I just updated Windows. Normally this wouldn’t be a big deal, since I could just call Microsoft and tell them, but I seem to have misplaced my Cd key. And I can’t log in at all. Is there anyway at all to get the cd key out from it?

[TECHSPOT] Apple acquiring Electronic Arts?

Apple is considering an offensive into the gaming market, according to Guy Adami from CNBC’s Fast Money, who claims to have heard “chatter” about the company being interested in acquiring publishing  video games company, Electronic Arts.

Richard Teversham, the senior director for insights and strategy at Microsoft’s Xbox Business, left the company to join Apple this week and prior to that Apple picked up two former CTOs from AMD’s graphics division. One of them, Bob Drebin, is also the man who created the graphics processor in the Nintendo GameCube. Certainly, all this suggest that a major move onto the gaming business through the iPhone and iPod touch is underway, but if rumors are true then Apple’s ambitions would appear to go far beyond just the handheld market.

What to buy 12″ or 13″?

Posted on May 6th, 2009 by admin in Recent Blog Entries, it support w1
I Am in the process of buying a good quality netbook which needs to be either 12″ or 13″. Necessary things to atleast have:

-> Good screen (non reflective type)
-> Decent CPU that would not be slow!!
-> 2GB RAM (min)
-> Slot drive (preferabbly, if not will buy an external one)
-> Vista or XP (does not matter)
-> A Decent battery life

Based on the above options can someone please enlighten me with what to buy?

Did find: Dell, Sony, Samsung & HP but am not sure about some brands. I always have bought Dell and never ever have had any kind of problems.

Three talented artists have put together an amazingly accurate scene from the science-fiction movie classic Blade Runner using Sandbox 2 World Editor. This meticulously re-created scene brought the team the grand prize in Game Artist forums’ “Scene from a Movie” competition. Other impressive CryENGINE 2 re-creations of I am Legend (4th place) and Aliens (5th place) movies are included as well. Thanks to Crysis-HQ forums for the tip!

Having some issues with the new build please help

Posted on May 6th, 2009 by admin in Recent Blog Entries, it support w1
I got my new processor/mobo in the mail today, the hp case I was going to use as a temp case didn’t wasn’t able to fit the micro-atx mobo (go figure) so I drive to fry’s get a CM 690 and start building.

I get every put together turn the system on and start running my windows 7 rc disk, and it asks me to find the hd.

I reset the computer and go into the bios and try to and find out my motherboard is not reading the hard drive.

I switch sata cables with the dvd drive, which it is reading, and it still doesn’t read the hard drive. It does however still read the dvd drive after the cable switch so I think the cables are fine.

This might belong in the HD forums, but any idea’s on how I can get my motherboard to recognize the hard drive? As far as I can tell it is plugged in alright, I have a power cable and sata cord connected.

I was using the hd drive a few days ago in my old hp, so it should still be fully functional.

The HD is a Western Digital 7200rpm 320gb drive that came with my HP I bought 2 years back.

How can I make this thing work? I really want to run some benchmarks!
